DESCRIPTION:Safe Futures will hold its annual Safe Walk on Sunday\, Oct. 4th\, at the Arnold Holm Jr. Memorial Park/Duck Pond in Waterford. Same day registration and a craft fair will begin at 8 a.m.\, and the walk begins at 9 a.m. The event features local vendors\, exciting basket raffles for all ages\, and breakfast food trucks. Registration is $25 for adults and free for children under 18 and students. Participants are encouraged to form a walk team and use the fundraising tools available upon registration to help Safe Futures meet or exceed its $50\,000 goal. Anyone who raises $100 or more will receive a free Safe Futures T-shirt. The walk honors National Domestic Violence Awareness Month\, with proceeds supporting Safe Futures' mission and programs to stop abuse\, restore hope\, and save lives of people impacted by domestic violence\, sexual assault\, stalking\, trafficking\, elder abuse\, and child abuse in Southeastern Connecticut.
